Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- If you saw something big headed in for a landing at NAS Pensacola on Friday... you weren't alone. There was a lot of social media attention after an Air Force C5 Galaxy stopped here on Friday afternoon. It was from the 312th Airlift Squadron out of Travis Air Force Base in California, and Channel 3 reports it was transporting an Operation Desert Storm F/A-18 Hornet to the USS Hornet Museum in Alameda, California. It's the largest aircraft in the Air Force inventory and is designed to transport machinery and personnel.
