021425 (PNJ) Aircraft changes are coming to the U.S. Air Force. The T-1A Jayhawks are coming to an end aboard NAS Pensacola. The 479th Flying Training Group, which trains Air Force combat systems officers, began its sendoff of the first Jayhawk this week and expects the last plane to leave by July. The U.S. Air Force announced in 2022 that it would begin retiring its fleet of 177 Jayhawks, which have flown in the service since 1993.
