ARE CANCER WARNING LABELS COMING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES?

010325 (NATIONAL NEWS DESK) The U.S. Surgeon General called for cancer warning labels to be placed on alcoholic beverages, highlighting a link between alcohol consumption and increased cancer risk. The largest alcohol-related cancer cases in the U.S. appears to be breast cancer in women. An estimated 44,180 cases make up 16.4% of the approximately 270,000 total breast cancer cases. A vast majority, 83%, of the alcohol-related cancer deaths in the U.S. came from people who drank above the federally recommended limits.
