Case Dropped Against Santa Rosa County Man that Shot Tresspasser

(Navarre, FL) -- A Santa Rosa County man feels a sense of relief after a judge's ruling. An attempted murder charge against Navarre's Joshua Huston was dropped Friday after a judge ruled he had the right to stand his ground. Huston was arrested two years ago after he shot a man who was trespassing on his property. Huston says the man came after him and had something in his hand, so he shot him. He says he was in fear for his life, and he handled the situation in the best way he could. Huston says he's happy the case was dismissed, but he's very irritated he was arrested in the first place. He tells WEAR News he's planning to file a civil suit against the sheriff's office and the district attorney.
