CRASH AT DAVIS-SCENIC INTERSECTION INJURES THREE, ONE CRITICALLY

One person is critical and two others are seriously injured following a crash this (Wednesday) morning around 8am at the intersection of N Davis Highway and Scenic Highway involving three vehicles. According to Florida Highway Patrol, a sedan driven by a 60-year-old Pensacola man was traveling north on Davis Hwy., approaching Scenic Hwy. Meanwhile, a pickup truck driven by a 48-year-old Pensacola man, as well as an SUV driven by a 63-year-old Pensacola woman, were both traveling south on N Davis Hwy, also approaching Scenic Hwy. FHP states the 60-year-old man failed to operate his vehicle within the designated northbound lanes, entering wrong-way traffic, and traveling across the concrete median. As a result, his sedan collided with the pickup truck, causing the pickup truck to enter the inside southbound lane. The front of the SUV then collided with the rear of the pickup truck. The 60-year-old man in the sedan suffered critical injuries, while the other two drivers -- a 48-year-old man and 63-year-old woman -- suffered serious injuries.
