DEVANN COOK RETIRING IN MAY

Santa Rosa County's administrator is moving towards retirement in just a few months. It's expected that Assistant County Administrator Brad Baker will take over as the interim administrator until the board makes an official pick for the job. DeVann Cook tells Newsradio that he's looking forward to spending more time with his wife, kids, and grandkids and moving forward with his retirement. He was heavily praised at Monday's county board meeting -- which he said was embarrassing, but a nice gesture. Cook's last day on the job will be in May.
