DRY CONDITIONS TRANSLATE INTO FIRE DANGER

011725 (WEAR) Cold and dry conditions are on the way, prime conditions for wildfires. Crews were able to extinguish three recent brush blazes. Now fire officials are concerned that small fires could become bigger issues next week. Escambia County Fire Rescue's Battalion Chief Dan Brask says in dry windy conditions, it doesn't take much time for a fire to get out of control. Brask recommends residents to avoid outdoor burning.
