ESCAMBIA CHURCH DESTROYED IN OVERNIGHT FIRE

An Escambia County church was completely destroyed in an overnight fire. It happened around 2:30 a.m. early this morning At Obedience In Faith Ministry in the 300 block of East Olive Road. When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke and flames were seen from the attic of a single-story wood-framed church, according to Escambia County Fire Rescue. The flames were completely extinguished by 3:50 a.m. No one was injured. However, the church was deemed a total loss due to significant damages. The Bureau of Fire and Arson is investigating the cause of the fire.
