Escambia County Investigators Get Lead in 30-Year-Old Cold Case

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Escambia County investigators have put another cold case to rest. Officials say a 1989 case involving a decomposed body that was found behind a business on Palafox Street has some new developments -- the victim has finally been identified. New DNA testing has revealed the man's identity as Charles Collier, who had been missing since 1989. Investigators say the cause of death is still undetermined, but there were no indications of foul play. Investigators say they would like to speak with anyone who knew Collier around the time he disappeared to get more information.
