Fired Gulf Island National Seashore Rangers to Get Jobs Back

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Seven park rangers at Gulf Islands National Seashore are getting their jobs back after being laid off due to federal budget cuts. They’re expected to be back at work by next week, thanks to some recent court rulings that shook up the Trump administration’s plans to downsize the federal government. While many are excited to come back, there’s still a bit of uncertainty, as some have been put on leave or offered early retirement. It's a mixed bag for the National Park Service says they are trying to navigate this chaotic situation. They've been authorized to rehire 1-thousand probationary employees that were let go as part of the initial cuts.
