FLOODING ISSUES CAUSE 'ROAD WASHOUT' ON 97A/PINE FOREST RD

There have been several water-related issues in Northern Escambia County this morning. Officials say a portion of county road 97A, otherwise known as Pine Forest Road, has collapsed in the Walnut Hill area. The southbound lanes collapsed due to a washout and the road is now closed north of Arthur Brown Road. The workaround would be Highway 97 in Walnut Hill north, and then you can take Pelt Road back to Pine Forest. There have also been several spots where water is reported over the road on Brushy Creek Road.
