Former Santa Rosa School Employee Arrested Following Theft Investigation

Santa Rosa County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A former Santa Rosa County school employee was arrested on larceny charges yesterday. 57-year-old Kelly Short was the Director of In-Service and Instructional Technology for Santa Rosa County Schools. The district had been investigating possible misconduct involving financial transactions -- the investigation reportedly concluded that Short had been stealing from the school district for at least two years. She voluntarily resigned in October. FDLE has also opened an investigation into the case. Short was booked into the Santa Rosa County jail and released on 5-thousand dollars bond yesterday.
