FREE SAILING CAMP FOR AUTISTIC KIDS

There's a free camp for autistic kids interested in sailing this weekend. The Spectrum Sailing organization hosts the events in 10 cities -- including Pensacola. It will cover water safety, wind direction and points of sail, boat parts, water conditions, and knots and rigging. Spectrum says summer is the perfect time for kids with autism to get out and explore the outdoors, explore new activities, and socialize with their peers. Spectrum was founded after the founder had difficulty enrolling his autistic sun in a summer camp -- you can learn more about the camp online at spectrumsailing.org. The event is being hosted by the Satori Foundation and the Pensacola Yacht Club and takes place on the 17th through the 19th.
