Update: The House Ethics Committee report has been released. https://ethics.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Committee-Report.pdf
Original Story:
(Washington, DC) -- Former Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz is suing the House Ethics Committee over a yet-to-be-released report on him. Reports say a final draft of the report alleges Gaetz paid thousands of dollars for illegal drugs and sex with women, including a 17-year-old. The lawsuit filed in federal court requests a judge to issue an emergency order to block the release of the report. He argues the Committee no longer has jurisdiction over him and the report contains "untruthful and defamatory information." Gaetz resigned from Congress after President-elect Trump named him as his pick for U.S. attorney general, but later withdrew his name from consideration.
