Even though the first strong cold front of the season is now passing through the area, we still have one more month of Hurricane Season to go. A disturbance in the eastern Caribbean is being given a high chance of becoming the next named storm. The National Hurricane Center says the area of low pressure is producing showers and thunderstorms and it has a 70 percent chance of developing in the next seven days. The system is expected to move west and bring heavy rain to parts of Central America by the end of the week. If it develops, it will be named Vince.
