Motorcyclist Hurt in Fairfield Drive Crash

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A young motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after crashing head-on into a pickup truck on Fairfield Drive yesterday. FHP says the 22-year-old rider was headed east on Fairfield as the truck was headed west and in a left turn lane. Witnessed told troopers that the rider had passed four or five vehicles just before entering the intersection at 61st Ave. The bike crashed head-on into the truck while it was still in the turn lane. The rider was taken to Baptist Hospital. The truck driver also suffered minor injuries.
