A 31-year-old murder suspect was found dead yesterday (Thursday) afternoon in Santa Rosa County Jail. The inmate was Toby James White of Milton. White had been charged with the Jan. 20 stabbing murder of a 77-year-old woman inside her Milton home and was being held in Santa Rosa County Jail since Feb. 11. According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office, during a routine security inspection yesterday around 2:20 p.m., detention deputies discovered White unresponsive in his cell. The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
