PACE MAN SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS IN PRISON FOR SELLING PROPERTY HE DID NOT OWN

A Pace man will spend the next 15 years in state prison for selling property that he did not own. 42-year-old Mark Puno was found guilty of trying to sell a man a Perdido Key property in exchange for $540,000. According to an arrest report, the victim claimed Puno approached him about a business deal in which he would pay $540,000 for a property on the 13000-block of Innerarity Point Road. Puno allegedly agreed to build the man several condominiums as part of the deal. After making $200,000 in payments over two years, the victim realized Puno didn't own the property. Puno allegedly used the money to fund trips to Disney World, expensive dinners, exotic entertainment, and other personal expenses. His sentencing will be followed by 15 years of probation. Puno was also ordered to pay $510,000 in restitution.
