PENSACOLA BEACH LIFEGUARDS AT REDUCED STAFFING LEVELS

As students have returned to the classroom, so have many of the Pensacola Beach lifeguards. Pensacola Beach safety chief Dave Greenwood says that they're back to reduced staffing levels. He says Casino Beach will be staffed seven days a week from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. While all sections of the beach are open, he says the safest areas to swim are where lifeguards are present. Lifeguards are no longer patrolling beaches owned by the Gulf Islands National Seashore, including Opal, Langdon, and Johnson beaches.
