It looks like the Pensacola, and two other Red Lobster restaurants in Florida are now on a list to be closed after the company's bankruptcy filing. Earlier this summer the chain closed more than 100 locations, including 17 across Florida.... but Pensacola's location had remained open..... According to the PNJ, in a court filing last week Red Lobster listed 23 more locations that they are hoping to close, including the Cordova Mall location in Pensacola, and locations in Fort Walton Beach and Port Richey. The chain blames inflation and expensive leases for the restaurants not making enough money to stay afloat. If the plan is approved by a judge the locations could close by the end of the month. Red Lobster is preparing for a possible sale to RL Purchaser LLC, which has been also purchased other bankrupt companies such as Alamo Drafthouse and Vice Media.
