Tallhassee, FL (Newsradio92.3) -- A legislative committee in Tallahassee will conduct interviews for four nominees to the University of West Florida Board of Trustees tomorrow, but those interviews won't include newly appointed board chair Scott Yenor. There's been quite a bit of controversy surrounding Yenor and comments previously made about women in the workplace. Yenor recently had a meeting with Senator Don Gaetz regarding confirmation to the board -- Gaetz said it would be controversial as most of Northwest Florida is united against Yenor serving on the UWF board. Nominees go through a two-step confirmation process, firs they need to be approved by the Senate Appropriations and Ethics and Elections committees, then they go before the full Senate for a vote. Yenor could still be appointed by the Governor if his nomination doesn't move forward during the legislative session.
