122724 (PNJ) The end of the 2024 Christmas/New Year break is quickly approaching, and many Northwest Florida parents wonder when it will end. With about a third, 22 of Florida's 67 counties, including Escambia, will return to the classrooms on Monday, January 6. Another 31 counties, including Santa Rosa County, will return on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. After this holiday, kids won't have long to wait before the next school holiday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, on Monday, January 20, 2025. This year, the holiday also falls on President Trump's Inauguration Day.
