Escambia County, AL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The tenth, eleventh, and twelfth red bulbs were placed on Escambia County's annual fire wreath before Christmas -- the bulbs were placed after a house fire on the 8700 block of Doris Avenue, where a kitchen fire damaged the home. One person was taken to the hospital in that case. Another bulb was placed after a fire at Ascend Performance Materials. Then a Mobile home caught on fire in McDavid last weekend. The trailer was in the 200 block of Cox Road just west of Highway 29. Firefighters from McDavid, Century, Cantonment, and Walnut Hill ECFR stations all responded. The fire spread from a nearby trash fire. The mobile home was considered a total loss, but firefighters were able to prevent the flames from spreading to other nearby mobile homes. That fire caused the 12th red bulb to be placed on ECFR's annual fire wreath.
