Three People Hurt in Crash Involving Escambia School Bus

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Three people were taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a school bus this morning. It happened on Highway 95A near Highway 29. The Florida Highway Patrol says the bus was stopped to pick up a student when it was rear-ended by two cars involved in a chain-reaction crash. Those cars were driven by a 20-year-old Cantonment woman and a 22-year-old Cantonmment man. The bus was driven by a 71-year-old man. There were sixteen students on the bus. Two students and one driver were taken to the hospital with minor injuries -- another driver also suffered minor injuries but refused transport to the hospital. There's no word on whether any drivers were cited for the crash.
