A state program has been approved to get much-needed dental care for veterans. One million dollars in funding has been allocated for the Florida Veterans Dental Care Grant Program, which was recently approved by the Florida cabinet, CFO Jimmy Patronis, and Governor Ron DeSantis... In our area there is only one dentist available for the 36-thousand veterans that get their medical care through the VA. Of the veterans that get care in our VA system -- less than 15-percent are eligible for dental care. This program will be open to all veterans with an honorable discharge in the state.
